I have found that we are never too old to learn. Many of my clients are over sixty-five and recently one was eighty-seven. Most of these clients have received computers from their children, did not understand the instructions and want to receive Email and pictures of their grandchildren. I think this is really exciting. Once they get online they are researching topics that are challenging their intellect, keeping them sharp and some are doing research that they did not have time to do when they were younger. I have enjoyed working with seniors that were researching topics in philosophy, religion, mechanical engineering, music, genealogy, geology, paleontology, habitat management, cowboys, various breeds of horses, gambling, various aspects of health and many other topics. |
Very few of us really need a high-speed computer to do the tasks that we originally bought the computer to do. We want the power to play some games, do the checkbook and get pictures of the grandkids by email. For most of us, the primary consideration is can we get the support that we need on the products that we have? We do not want a machine that is "buggy" or in need of repairs yet, we do not need the top of the line computer. There are package deals available for "E-Machines". These computers are more than capable of handling the needs of the average computer user. These computers come with full warranties and still process information much faster than I can type. |
I have been pleasantly surprised at how well web pages serve as marketing tools. I have put some fancy things on this site because you need to know that I can do them. I don't believe that they have much value on most commercial sites. Commercial sites need to impart information about the company and its products. As with any advertising, the medium should not be distracting from the purpose - SELL THE PRODUCT. I was told a long time ago to KISS - Keep It Simple, Stupid. |
